Making an informed choice
Nominations for the Ruapehu District Council are now in and, unless there are any withdrawals, there will be elections for all positions.
The Bulletin, as usual, will be providing details on all the candidates you can vote for. We'll be asking
questions of them and publishing the answers so that you can make a better choice of people you want as your
representatives. We're not going to just provide space for the candidates to waffle on about their particular intcrest, we're going to try to get to know them. To do this we need your help. As we said in our 18 August edition, we're asking you to tell us what you need to know. We've already worked out a questionnaire and would like to add your queries so we can publish the candidates' answers for all to see. Phone Robert Milne
on (0658) 58 532 if there's something you'd
like to ask your local body candidate. Or if
you can drop a note into the Ruapehu Bulletin office, 1 Rata Street, Ohakune. Don't just rely on what candidates want
you to know, let's make an informed choice about who we want making the decisions that will affect our lives.
