Waiouru player for NZ team

At the National Un-der-19 Rugby League tournament held at Palmerston North recently Waiouru's Anthony Farmer was selected for the New Zealand Under-19 kiwi team. The selection came as no surprise to this reporter as he was undoubtedly the best running forward of the tournament. Further success came

when Paul Howell, the hard and fast running half-back, was presented with the prize for best sportsman and all round athlete. Frompage6 two of Waiouru's top players were injured in the second game and were unable to complete the tournament. These two players looked certain to make the representative team.
