Club hosts squash players
The Waimarino squash club hosted a C grade and below tournament recently. The draw was made up of keen players from Waimarino, Hamilton, New Plymouth, and Taihape. The tournament got underway early on Friday night and the finals took place around 2 pm on Sunday afternoon. Club President Carol Leary and club captain Christine Hawira be-
lieved that all the games were of high standard and were enjoyed by all. Mrs Leary said the tournament went very smoothly, and thanked her committee for their time spent. She believes that it is a good sign to see old faces back at the tournaments supporting the club. Mrs Leary hopes the support will be encouraging during the internal toumament in late September, being held
in Conjunction with the club championships. Results: Ladies Round Robin Winners, Aroha Irwin, Waimarino Runnerup, Rosana O'Rilley, Taihape.
