Brownies lose leader

With a role of 28 the Waiouru Brownies is a popular club to belong to for 7-10 year old girls. Unfortunately their leader Sharon Aston leaves Waiouru in November and at present there is no one to take her place. The Brownies meet once a week on Tuesday from 5 -7pm. As well as playing games they complete tasks for badges. They also have had trips away including ski trips and camping out. In order for Brownies
in Waiouru to continue to be successful more parent support is extremely important, and someone is urgently needed to volunteer as new leader. Last Tuesday the Brownies held a 'backwards' night, which meant everything had to be done backwards, including the wearing of the uniform. Some even wore their pony tails on the front of their heads!! "It would be a shame to see such a popular group have to end," says secretary Sue Hunt. "So if you are good with children and have some spare time, Brownies would love to I hear from you." Sue Hunt can be con- I tacted on 56908.
