Road runners for Ohakune

Last year's Ohakune 10 kilometre road race is to be repeated on 9 September. The event is organised by running enthusiast Vince Pakinga with proceeds going to the Ohakune Primary School. Vince says the

rodney is for sports * equipment but that it is up to the school how it is to be spent. The race starts from Christie Park, near the Fire Station, and travels around the Ohakune outskirts then through the centre to finish at

the park. Trophies are available for sections covering open men's and women's, local men and women, veterans and under 16. Prizes and trophies have been donated by local businesses.
