RAETIHI CHIMNEY FIRE
Raetihi volunteer firemen attended a chimney fire in Islington Street, Raetihi at 7.00pm on Monday 14 August. Fire chief Alec Weir said the fire was "going well" at the time of their arrival but the brigade soon had the fire under control, and it caused very little damage.
