"Bumps boogie" mogul skiing competition
Top skiers from all over the country will be at Whakapapa on Sunday 20 August to contest the Coca Cola Rossignol Boogie in the Bumps competition. The event is open to any individuals or teams who think they Bungymania!
have got what it takes to look good in the bumps. Points are scored for synchronicity, style and overall appeal and the event is open to monoskiers, snowboarders and telemarkers as well as conventional skiers.
There will be a good sound system and by all accounts the event will be a lot of fun for competitors and spectators alike. Entry forms are available from the Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Customer Services office at the Top O' the Bruce.
Richmond Grove Cabernet Merlot for $13.50. Of the three, Larry has skied before but because the business is "24 hours a day" they don't think they'll have much of a chance to slide on the slopes. "Maybe in the spring" says Larry. Because of the extra work they've hired two waitresses, Hiro and Shoko, who are Japanese. Hiro has worked in Sydneyside Japanese restaurants and has agreed to cook for a Japanese night on Monday 28 August. It's going to be a "oncer", where Hiro will cook Japanese style, at the tables.
