Kindy kids' first train

The thrill of a first train ride was experienced by many of the 30 children from Waiouru's Weir Terrace Kindergarten last Wednesday. The group of nine adults and 30 children left Waiouru aboard the Navy bus and travelled to Taihape in time in meet the Silverfern train travelling from Wellington to Auckland. It was a chilly day and the group was warmly welcomed aboard the train by the Intercity staff and were all served drinks and biscuits on their journey back to Waiouru. Weir Terrace kindergarten teachers were pleased with the success of the trip.
