Ruapehu logo

Pictured is the logo picked out off the 34 entries as winner of the Ruapehu District Council's recent competition. The design is by Taupo man Dave Tarawa and judge was Taumarunui artist John Couison. Raetihi's Te Whetu Williams took second place with a design incorporating Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe and a Maori motif. Council general manager Cliff Houston said the winning design would fform the basis of " a memorable logo".
