Skier's bus service

A new bus service passes through Ohakune and National Park Friday and Sunday nights through the ski season. The AucklandWellington Mount Cook bus service is being diverted from the Desert Road to pass through the western Ruapehu area. The Auckland-bound bus arrives at Ohakune at 12.35am and the Wellington-bound at 3.10am and both arrive at their destinations at 7am. The service runs through to 1 October.
