I am sorry you felt our Raetihi meeting story was "botched", Mr Mayor, as most other feedback we have had gives us the impression it was thought to be a balanced and well covered story. It would be impossible to quote every speaker in full from a two and a half hour meeting, so some selection has to take place, but please be assured there was no mischievous intent on the part of our reporter or myself in reporting your comments. As for parochialism, people from Waiouru, Ohakune as well as Raetihi would have to agree that it is unfortunate, for Raetihi, that the centre is not going to be in Raetihi. Also, you did put up a case earlier for our service centre to be located in Raetihi. Anyway, as you say, that is history. As for your comments on our health story, I continue to dis agree with people who ask me to ignore bad news. I agree with you that we should be positive, but not that we should ignore the negative. I also disagree with your comment that the story was based on the comments of "some doctor in Wanganui". It was based on our health board's impending amalgamation. Once again, please accept our assurance that there was no mischeivous intent in our reporting of your comments at the Raetihi meeting.
