Promotion brochure work under way
Work on producing a promotion brochure for the southern Ruapehu region is now in full swing. Ruapehu Publishers have been commissioned to produce the brochure, and aims to have it ready for distribution by August. The Ruapehu South Business Association and the publishers have worked out a format for the brochure, and advertisers are now being sought to support its production. A three person team is now contacting businesses who would benefit from being included in the brochure, which aims to pack in as much information for short-stay visitors as possible. The advertising team is Liz Hudspith, the Bulletin' s advertising representative (phone 58532) Raewyn Haworth at the Information Centre, 54 Clyde Street (phone 58 427) and Shane Littlewood (phone 58 014 evenings). The first run of the glossy colour brochure will be 20,000 copies and it will be distributed through travel agents, tour operators, trade shows information centres and other outlets. The Ruapehu South Business Association is seeking support for grants from the Tourist and Publicity Department for further print runs at a later date as needed.
