Pamela Greenwood
The Bulletin' s Pamela Greenwood died at Waikato Hospital yesterday, aged 38.
Pamela was part of the Bulletin staff since soon after the newspaper started in 1983. Her main interest was with her family, Husband John Greenwood, who works for Electricorp, and their two children, John and Paula as well as her father, who lives close by their Makaranui home. Pamela asked the founder of this community newspaper, John Sandford, for a job on the then Waimarino Bulletin, so that she could be part of the production of the local newspaper - something she was very keen to be involved in. John agreed and Pam joined the staff as accounts clerk, working through to becoming manager of Ruapehu Publishers Ltd. She was Publisher John Woods' administration manager through the launching of the New Zealand Geographic and the relaunching of Adventure Magazine. Earlier this year Pam became involved in the work she was first interested in - production and art work of a newspaper. She did this while continuing her work as administration manager. Through the past year Pam had been discovering her "other family", a process that she found very joyful. Pam, who was raised by her adoptive parents, made contact with her natural mother and had met and made friends with her
new-fotind brothers and sisters. Pamela's death follows a two month battle with cancer and Cushing's Syndrome, a battle she had been de-
termined to win with the same positive outlook she had brought to the Bulletin. Pam's funeral will be held at the Ohakune Anglican Church at 2pm, Wednesday 13 July. ,
