RAETIHI'S "POSITIVE" MEETING RE-SCHEDULED

Raetihi's "anti-doom-and gloom" meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday July 19 at the Raetihi Primary School hall, due to unforseen circumstances. The new date will allow time for Raetihi primary school children to prepare a social studies programme on the community and the factors affecting its present state leading up to the meeting. Doug McLean, Bob Peck, and Garrick Workman will be among speakers and the meeting will be chaired by Councillor John Compton. Representatives from the Raetihi Marae have been invited and a Department of Social Welfare representative will be there to offer advice to people on where and how they can collect their benefits.
