Where did the money come from?

I read with avid interest an article in the Sunday paper reporting on the hyjinx and partying that took place by Local Government Association delegates at the recent Rotorua conference. The article reported that where most delegates pay for their own extra expenses many do not and put it on their Council's tab which means that the ratepayers pay for it. On behalf of the ratepayer of the Waimarino District Council may I respectfully ask that a statement be given to the Bulletin to print just how much it costs ratepayers to send the Turn page 17

Mailbag

From page 4 delegates to the conference from this Council. I am not "STIRRING" as has been suggested but merely putting in writing (and signing my name) what everyone is asking but either too afraid or too embarrassed to do so.
