Riding exams

Thanks to Mrs Evelyn Cooper of Ohakune, a group of local women sat and passed riding exams last weekend. Mrs Cooper has been coming to Waiouru for the last eight weeks, voluntarily, to coach the women for their exams. Mrs Cooper also arranged for Errol O'Brien from Auckland and

Margarel Harris from Waikanae to come to Ohakune to judge these exams. The Waiouru women are all Instructors and helpers of the Waiouru Saddle Club. They are Karen Worthington, Debbie Hill, Fiona Towgood, Sara Beattie, Jenny Kinloch, Catrina McLeod, Jean Emmens and Karen Hopkins from Karioi.
