OPERATORS TO MEET

Whanganui National Park commercial operators are gathering in Wanganui on Wednesday 28 June to discuss concessions and river control bylaws. Controversy over the bylaws was stirred last year when licence prices were raised. District Conservator John Lythgoe said there were no plans to change the prices this year. He said DoC is looking at tightening the bylaws a little and tightening regulations and that DoC is planning to discuss such changes with operators before thev are irrmlemented.
