YOUNG TUMBLER IN PERTH

Turoa Tumblers Grade Eight gymnast Carys Hubbard is now in Perth, Australia, representing New Zealand in the Australian National Championships. She was treated to a surprise send-off last Tuesday with a pot-luck dinner at the Ohakune Lions Den. Jackie Fraser, one of Carys' coaches, said she has done extremely well to make the team after having to get back into stride after 18 month's hassle with injuries. Turoa Tumblers officials say they have been overwhelmed by the support from Waiouru, the Waimarino and Wanganui for Carys' trip.
