FUNDS FOR WANGANUI RIVER ROAD?
If heeded by central govemment, a Local Government Association remit on tourist roads may mean funds being made available for upgrading roads such as the Wanganui River Road. The remit acknowledges the importance of roads which mainly serve travelling tourists or could serve tourists. Government acknowledgement of the remit could lead to funding being made available on the basis of the cost benefit to the tourist industry.
