Willow not wattle
Last week the Bulletin published a story on the Whanganui National Park's weed tree problem. We told readers that the Japanese Wattle was the main concern, which is not true. While the wattle is a weed on the Wanganui River banks, it is not a huge problem. Willow trees are causing the headaches, and should have been the subject of our story. To the Japanese wattle - we're sorry. Ed
