VEHICLE THEFT AND BREAK--IN - YOUTHS ARRESTED

Ohakune Police arrested two Wellington youths, aged 14 and 16, on Friday May 26. The teenagers rode a motorbike stolen from Wellington, to Ohakune on May 25, then broke into the New Zealand Railways maintanance shed on Railway Row. They stole three hand-held Tate radio recievers, clothing and a portable stereo from the shed and stored the goods at an address in Railway Row. They were picked up by Police in Raetihi, later the same day. The two youths will be appearing in the Children and Young Person's Court in Ohakune, on Thursday June 22, to face charges.
