Scheme change

The Rangitikei County has resolved to make changes to the District Scheme allowing for better signposting for tourists. Formal notice of the change will be forwarded to landowners with the July Rates Demand. County Planning Officer, John Fraser, sees it desirable to make the additional changes now, rather than wait until the scheme is reviewed in 1992. In particular the changes will affect controls on rural residential development, ordinances for building, siting, parking and loading for the manufacturing commercial zone. Resiting of previously occupied buildings will become a conditional use. Accessways for rural development will also be looked at.
