Good tumblers catch

Turoa Tumblers' competitive boys travelled to Palmerston North to compete in the Open Competition on Saturday.

Seniors Warrick Hays and Shaun McLean competed in Grade 5 and worked consistantly well with scores in the nines, resulting in Warwick winning a

gold medal and Shaun a bronze medal. They were also members of the day's winning tearri. Grade 9 boys John Hays and Andrew Murdie were placed 10th and 7 th respectively in a large field of over 30 competitors. They were members of the team that won a bronze medal. Grade 8 boys Daniel Foster, Scott Nation and Daniel Pearson were the silver medal winning team; Daniel Pearson brought home the individual gold medal and Scott the bronze. Daniel Foster wasn't far behind in 6th place. The medal tally for the day was four gold, three silver and three bronze - a good catch, boys!
