Accident
A Raetihi pig hunter received chest injuries after falling from a 4wheel motorbike in the Mangapurua Valley last week. Wanganui Aero Works pilot Richmond Harding and Waimarino Hospital Ambulance Officer, Phillip Beer, attended the man, shortly after 9am on Saturday May 13. Flying conditions were impaired by low | cloud and heavy mist. Mr Beer commended Richmond Harding's skilled handling of the helicopter in difficult conditions. The door of the helicopter was removed to enable Mr Harding to manoeuvre safely above the bush | line.
