Driver too young

I came into Ohakune about 10.30am last Friday to do my grocery shopping, and approached the supermarket carpark in a cautious way, knowing that it is usually a congested area, with lots of children and trolleys etc. I found an extra hazard on this morning - I could not believe my eyes: A child probably no older than six was sitting on her father's knee driving a Holden Jackaroo! What's more the child was having trouble negotiating the vehicle onto her side of the

driveway so I was forced to stop. For goodness sake parents, Ohakune supermarket carpark is no place to teach someone to drive, let alone a child. I hope these, and other visitors are still around to read this letter and take notice that Ohakune has traffic laws too.
