WAIMARINO PISTRIQT COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES FOR THE YEAR ENDING 31 MARCH 1990 Notice is hereby given that the Waimarino District Council in pursuance of its powers under the Local Govenment Act 1974, and the Rating Powers Act 1988, intends, at a meeting to be held in the Council Chambers, 15 Miro Street, Ohakune on Wednesday 17 may 1989 at 7.00 pm, to make and levy rates as set out hereunder for the year commencing 1 April 1989 and concluding on 31 March 1990: FIRSTLY General rates on the land value of all rateable property within the respective financial wards as follows: (a) A rate of two decimal seven nought eight three cents (2.7083) in the dollar in the Ohakune financial ward. (b) A rate of six decimal six nine six three cents (6.6963) in the dollar in the Raetihi financial ward. (c) A rate of decimal nine one eight seven cents (0.9187) in the dollar in the Rural financial ward. SECONDLY A Uniform Annual Charge on every separately rateable property within the respective financial wards as follows: (a) One hundred and fifty doliars ($1 50.00) in the Ohakune financial ward. (ii) Five doliars and fifty cents ($5.50) on every rateable property situated within 30 metres of a public sewerage drain to which it is capable of being effectively connected either directly or through a private drain, but the property is not connected, either directly or through a private drain, to any public sewerage drain. SIXTHLY A Uniform Annual Charge for refuse on every separately occupied portion of any building within the respective financial wards as follows: (a) Twenty - five doliars ($25.00) in the Ohakune financial ward. (b) Seventy seven doliars ($77.00) in the Raetihi financial ward. SEVENTHLY Pursuant to the provisions of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941 and as directed and advertised by the Rangitikei - Wanganui Catchment Board administration rates will be collected in accordance with the dates, discounts and penalties hereinafter set out. EIGHTHLY Pursuant to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967 and as directed and advertised by the Westem Pest Destruction Board rates will be collected in accordance with the dates, discounts and penalties hereinafter set out. AND NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT the abovementioned rates will be payable at the offices of the Waimarino District Council, 15 Miro Street, Ohakune or 22 Duncan Street, Raetihi. AND THAT rates shall become due and payable in three instalments as follows: First instalment due - 20 June 1989 Second instalment due - 20 October 1989 Third instalment due - 20 February 1990 AND THAT (a) A first additional charge of 10% will be added to any instalment of rates which remains unpaid after the following dates: First instalment - 30 June 1989 Second instalment - 31 October 1989 Third instalment - 28 February 1990 (b) A second additional charge of 10% will be added to the amount of rates remaining unpaid on the first day of April 1990. The amount of unpaid rates to which any additional charge shall be added pursuant to this section shali include: (i) Any additional charges previously added to the amount of unpaid rates under this section or under Section 71 of the Rating Act 1967. (ii) Any rates previously levied under the Rating Act 1867 which remains unpaid. (c) A continuing additional charge of 10% shall be added to the amount of rates remaining unpaid and to which paragraphs (a) and (b) relate at intervals of not less than six monthly after 1 April 1990, the first continuing additional charge being added on 1 October 1990 and at continuing intevals of sox months after 1 October 1990. All rates and charges are inclusive of GST. Notice is hereby given that the rate records, valuation rolls and annual estimates for the year ending 31 march 1990 are available for public inspection during ordinary office hours at the District Council offices 15 Miro Street, Ohakune and 22 Duncan Street, Raetihi.
