New guide leader needed

BY

MYRA

MACGIBBON

Waiouru's Guides are looking for a new leader as the present leader Janice McKeany will be leaving in a few weeks for Singapore. Janice has been the group's leader for the last 12 months and has taken an active interest in guiding for a number of years. Part of being a leader is to have an interest in children in general and in particular an interest

in helping girls 91/2 to 131/2 years old, and being willing to teach and learn new skills and to enjoy having fun and taking part in outdoor activities such as camping. New skills can be gained by attending courses for leaders at Arahina in Marton. People interested can go along and see a Guide night for themselves on Wednesday night between 6 & 8pm at the Scout Hall in Waiouru.
