Kiwi taste for Swedes

A taste of Kiwi was on the menu for a group of Swedish visitors during a whirlwind visit to the Waimarino last week. The six men aged 2736 were taking part in an exchange tour organised by Rotary and arrived in the region on Tuesday. On the agenda was a tour of some of the region's industries, including a visit to a deer park, market gardens and Turoa Skifields. The group also managed to fit in a jet boat ride on the Wanganui River and a look at the popular sport of bungy jumping into their busy schedule. Sponsored by a Swedish Rotary, the tour involves one

month of extensive travel through Rotary District 994, taking in the Wellington area north to Taupo. The

group were billeted by Ohakune/Raetihi Rotarians during their two day visit to the Waimarino.
