KINA COUNTRY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD The Board's Consumers are notified that the Board intends to alter its electricity charges with effect from April 1 1989. The charges will be as shown in the following Tariff Schedule. TARIFF SCHEDULE Effective April 1 1989 The rates shown below are on a per one month basis. Price and charges shown in this Tariff Schedule include Goods and Services Tax at the rate of ten percent. Accounts rendered in accordance with this schedule are subject to a discount of 10% if paid on or hefore the due date shown on the account and specified in the Board's Standard Terms and Conditions of Electricity Supply. (1)POME5TIQ: (01) Private self contained homes, rest ricted to the use of electric power by commonly accepted domestic orientated appliances. Domestic thermal storage water heaters of 9 litres capacity and j over shall be fitted with elements of not more than 1500 watts for cylinders up to 182 litres and 2000 watts for cylinders in excess of 182 litres. Domestic thermal waterheating installations shall comply with NZS 4603 and the waterheating cyclinders shall comply with the requirement of NZS 4602. The supply of electricity to Domestic waterheating installations and spa pool heating elements shall, at the discretion of the Board, be restricted to off peak times as determined from time to time by the Board's General Manager. (1.1) General: Supply Charge $12.00 per month or part thereof plus $1.14 per kilowatt of connected uncontrolled instantaneous waterheating load per month. First 300 units per month at 6.33 cents per unit. All units in excess of 300 per month at 5.18 cents per unit. (1 .2) Cpntrolled Storage Space Heating: (02) For domestic installations approved by the Board as suitable for controlled supply during the hours: (a) From 2300 hours to 0700 hours - all units at 3.00 cents per unit. (b) From 1300 hours to 1600 hours and from 2300 hours to 0700 hours - all units at 3.7 cents per unit. (2.3) industrial A: (Q7) &(08) Applies to industrial installations having an aggregate installed motor capacity in excess of 50 kilowatts. $7.28 per calendar month per kilovoltampere of maximum demand registered in any 15 minutes during the five months from May 1 to September 30 of each year with a minimum charge for each year or part therof equal to $66.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest registered demand during the five months, plus $6.56 per calendar month per kilovoltampere of maximum demand registered in any 15 minutes during the three months from Jupe 1 to August 31 each year with a minimum charge equal to $62.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest demand registered during the three months, plus All units at 6.63 cents per kilowatthour. (2.4) industrial B: Installations with connected load in excess of 1000 kilowatts $8.09 per calendar month per kilovoltampere of maximum demand registered in any 15 minutes during the five months from May 1 to September 30 of each year with a minimum charge for each year or part thereof equal to $66.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest registered demand during the five months, plus $7.29 per calendar month per kilovoltampere of maximum demand registered in any 15 minutes during the three months from June 1 to August 31 each year with a minimum charge equal to $62.00 per kilovoltampere for the highest demand registered during the three months, plus 6.96 cents per kilowatthour used between the hours of 0700 and 2300, plus 3.43 cents per kilowatthour used between the hours 2300 and 0700. (2.5) Waterheating: (10) For non domestic waterheaters over 90 litres capacity and supply to be controlled as required by the Board to off peak times as determined from time to time b the Board's General Manager. All units at 4.95 cents per unit. Minimum Charge $11.00 per month. (2.6) Electric Welders: (05) All consumers using electric welders must comply with the Board's requirements for the use of such equipment and will be charged at rate (2.1) Non domestic General rate. (2.7) Mountain Installations: Applies to all installations situated in excess of 1300 metres above sea level. Tariff rate thatwould be applicable to the installation if located less than 1300 metres above sea level as prescribed in this schedule of tariffs and charges, all plus 15 percent.
