Horses of all types made the Waimarino A&P Show a success, even the make-believe ones on the fairground rides. Perfect weather, and the opportunity to see Mark Todd's horse Charisma in action drew record numbers to the two-day show. Takings for the show were up on previous years as well, despite the lower gate price. Tremendous interest was generated by the shearing, which for the first time was incorporated into the A&P timetable. Photo: Julie Nation.
