A meeting of the AVarkworth branch of the N. Z. Farmers' Union will be held on Monday next. It is a regrettable fact some of the branches in the North seem to lack energy, and therefore loose opportunities by not keeping up a vigorous policy. Hoav different the southern farmers! They have joined to a man and keep an ever watchful eye on matters relating to agriculture and legislation affecting their interests. AYe think if settlers in these scattered district could arrange'to meet at least once every three months and discuss the interests of the Union much good Avould accrue.
