The Annual meeting of Subscribers to the Public Library was held in the Library on F.-idav evening Jan. 17 Mr. T. Hanclby in "the Chair Mr. C. S*. Clark Treasurer read tlie report and balance sheet, there have been 26. subscribers, ioo6 books have been issued, and there now 1007 books in the lib rary, 40 books have been added durinothe year, 12 of these being Magazines. Receipts including balance from last year £13. 19 c II and the expenditure £9. 19. 1 leaving a balance of £4. 0. 10 the accounts were adopted, and a vote of thanks passed to the Librarians .for their services. ■1 he following persons were elected Trustees-.for.-: the present, Miss .\. Matheson, Messrs T. Handby A. Kempt G. W. Sim and C, S. Clark, Tho Trustees held a meeting immediately afterwards and elected Mr. C. S. Clark Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. Messrs C. Boyd and C. S. Clark Librarians.
