A meeting of the Fanners' Union -was held-here'on r November the 22nd. Mr. Hood occupying the chair. Minutes of the previous meeting being passed as react, business was proceeded with commencing >rith a resume of the recent Provincial Conference held in Auckland, by the Delegate,.Mr. T. C. Sainsbury who presented resolutions ■of a general character passed by this Branch, which received the consideration of the Conference. .

A resolution was passed vo the Employees Accident Act as it affects the "Farmers, desiring the Executive Officials to support ate^t case so that the Farmers may know the extent of their liability in the employment of casual labour, with a view to introducing an amendment to the Act during the next Session of Parliament for the prt teation of the Employers.

It was also resolved that the seeretaiy write to the Stock Inspector desiring him to enforce the first schedule of the Noxious Weed Act throughout this district,
