Farmers' Union Warkworth. — -~ —»—^—_ A public meeting- took place at the Masonic Hall on Sept 28. for the purpose of forming a branch of the Farm* eis' Union at Warkworth, to be the centre branch for the district, About 20 settlers were present, find opologies were received from Messrs J. M, King, J.P. W. Cox, J.P. and others. Mr. W. Hamilton was 'voted to the chair', and called upon Mr. T C. Samsbury, vice president of the Union and convenor of the meeting, to explain the platform and also the rules and regulations of the Union. Mr. Sainsbury went fully into tlie whole matter—which was a somewhat lengthy proceeding—and answered numerous (ju- stions.
