On August 17th. at the "Warkwoithj' Police Court BL Philips was eherged 'with permitting a Tierse t > stray on---.a..pviblie place, to wit on 4he "Warkworth footpath. j Defendant explained that he knewj i nothing aljout the matter.. "W. H. Hamilton deposed that he ; was driving the horse from one i paddock toanother, it ran away from him and got on to the path. It was accidental and he did everything in Iniis power to avoid it * ' The case was dismissed.
