Opexing Services.

-; The new and commodious edifice e^ectedin- Neville Street Warkworth was dedicated for Public -Worship yesterday March 2ißth: at 3 p.m. -A dedicatory sen-ice washeld in the new Church- the dedicatory prayer was offered by tha Eev. 0. Griffin, Onehunga and the sermon preached by the Eev! Win. Beady. The building is 40 by 30 feet, 16 feet walls and has a seating capacity for 142. The Church though still unfinished was greatly admired by the visitors.

A soiree was hel 1 in the Masonic Hall when the ladies of the congregation dispensed the good things prepared to about 200 persons; we heard nothing but praise for the taste; and lavish bounty displayed on the tables. The concert and public meeting' was a pronounced success ; addresses were delivered by the chairman Mr A. C. Caughey (Auckland), the Revs McKinney (Presbyterian), C. Griffin, W. Ready and Or, Frost. Mr. Chaplain gave some pic asing reminences in connection with the old church, and Mr. N. Wilson, treasurer, read the Financial statement which showed that the Trustees had received by subscriptions sale of the old church. and loan, from church Building autf-liban Fund nearly £350 while the expenditure made and estimated, was a little over £370,

The proceeds of the opening services yesterday were nearly £15. and the trustees hope the services of Sunday next will liquidate the remainder. The singing, and musical items were of a very high order, and comparisions would bo odious when all did so well. Encores were given to Miss Thorpe, of Auckland, Mks. Worker, Messes. A. Grant andC. Hefforcl. The opening services will be.continued on Sunday when, tho Bev v E. C.. Beecroft will preach. .
