a -j There was another good inuster of spectators at the Pererika Street Reserve last evening, when the Rototua Amateur Athletie and Cyeling , Club eompieted the first roitnd of the points trophv meetings. Moderate fields faced the starter, but they, supplied plenty of exeitement. Cnfortunately, the narrowness of the track spoilt the ehanees of sonte of the winners in the 220 yards races, ' this being partieularly noticeable | vhen a group of juniors were strivj i lg for third plaee.
