On a track that was slightly holding and with a cold southwesterly blowing, the Waikato Racing Club's summer meeting was held yesterday under far from seasonable conditions, but the racing was very keen. The champion .hurdler, Bramble Song, had a very narrow win in the Storey Memorial over Battle Royal and Foxwyn.
