WATERFRONT DISPUTE BELIEVED SETTLED
WELLINGTON, last night. An understanding for a settlement of the waterfront dispute is believed to have been reached at a meeting to-day between the Government and the National Executive of the. Watersidb Wcrkers' Unionl The Government was represented at the conference by the Minister of Labour, Mr. McLagan, and the Minister of Supply, Mr. Sullivan. An official statement announcing the result cf the meeting is expected to be made shortly.
