1 -v , To-day's Weather Forecast The Government M-eteorologist has issued the following weather report and forecast: — Situation : A belt of liigh pressure is j^entred across the Tasman and New Zealand. A depression is lying over the North Island. Forecast for Rotorua: Fresh south winds. Weather cloudy, with isolated showers. Temperatures warm. Yesterday's maximum temperature in the town area was 75.7, compared with 69 degrees on Tuesday. For the 24-hour period ended at 4 p.m. yesterday, the rainfall was .05 of an inch.
Parliamentary Session Parliament will meet in June, the normal time, said the Prime Minister, Mr. Peter Fraser, yesterday. The date will probably be the last Wednesday in the month, June 25. Gift For Cripples A man entered the office of the •Auckland hranch of the Crippled Children Society recently aiid without discussion or explanation wrote a cheque for £3028 for the general purposes of the society. Air Force Selection Committee A selection committee of the Royal iJSfew Zealand Air Force will be in Rotorua to-night to interview prospective entrants for the R.N.Z.A.F.
