OVERSEAS VARTETY STARS The first performance of "Watch Your Step," the Ophir Rees overseas variety and revue extravaganza, will be given at the Majestic Theatre tonight at 7.50 o'clock and will be reoeated to-morrow evening at tbe same timo. The first post-war variety show of its kind to visit Rotorua is bound to be well received by audiences. Variety is the keynote of the ohcw, which caters for all tastes, a^nd it is recommended for children, with all its wealth of fun, nqvelty and 5pectacle. Australia's foremost comeiian, Joe Lawman, heads a brilliant troupe of -talented selected artists from the Tivoli Theatre circuit, Austfalia, the items ranging from bumorous slcetches to the ventnlo,]uist, Rcyston, who worlcs two dolls, Skeeter and Nellie. Not ,only is he i deceptive worker, but his dummies are so controlled that they appear almost human. Among the many outitanding specialty acts are Jandy, the nusical clown, The Siscos, whirlwind iugglers, Jarrett, Oovelty entertainer, Le Harley, a merry magician, and the Morrrell Trio, yodelling to aceordion. Other performers who prove very oopular are Eileen Bourke, singing violiniste, Joy Robins, dashing comedienne and soubrette, Adfele Taylor, Maurice Tansley and Sherry, vocal;sts,jElite Dance Duo. A bright baliet of glamorous girls and full orchestra are also featured. Box planS are at the Majestic ConfectiOnery.
