VARIETY FLIES THE TASMAN
Perhaps the mcst important, and certainly the first 100 per cent Overseas variety revue company, headed by Joe Lawman, the well-known Australian comedian, and a galaxy of other Tivoli Theatre stars to visit New Zealand since the war, flew the Tasman recently to open their Dominion-wide tour at Auckland. Mere is celebrity variety in a higliclass London music-hall success, "Watch Your Step," prcduced, presented, danced, sung, acted, and cdowned at a racy pace. In addition to its specialty turns, which include "Jandy," the musical clown, Royston, triple-voiced ventriloouist; the Siscos, jug'gling wizards; Jarrett, novelty comedy entertainer; and Le Harley, tthe magician, there are a scorc of tafented people — Eilecn Bourke, singing violiniste; Joy Robins, comedienne and dashing soubrette; Adele Tajlor, mezzosoprano; Maurice Tansley, tenor; Shorry, swing songstrjpss, together with a kicklinc hallet of glamorous girls, and full orchestra. "Watch Your Step" company will visit Rotorua on Mcndav and Tuesday, February 10 and 11. The box plans are now available at Majestic Confectionery.
