TELEPHONE TOLLS. to the Editor. Sir, — 'I notice by this morning's "Post" that there is to be an official tour of the Rotorua area to discuss problems relative to land development, tourist trade and "other matters." For the sake of the progress of Rotorua, I do trust that "other matters" will include improved telephone toll facilities. I have been in Rotorua three days and in that time have sat by a telephone on three occasions for over two hours in an unsuccessful attempt to get Wellington. It is not the fault of the toll clerks; I have .found them most courteous, but many others ari'my table have had to go so far as to caneel tourist trips to wait for toll calls that never seem to come. I hate to say it to this bonny little town, but without a shadow of a doubt you have the worst telephone toll linkun in Australasia. — I am, etc..
