OYSTERS IN SUSPENDED ANIMATION
NEW YOEK. A frozen oyster goes into a state of suspended animation and can live that way for 10 months. This was Teported to a meeting of the American Association for Advancement of Science. But if the frozen oyster is shafcen, or roughly handled, be usually dies. Since he is mostly ice, the sbaking appears to break him up internally. The exsperiment was made in the course of a series of tests on suspended animation.
