N.Z.-BRED RACER SOLD FOR 4100 GUINEAS
SYDNEY, Jan. 24, Royal Raider, a chestnut gelding by Royal Chief from Moon Raider, brought top price of 4100 guineas at a sale of thoroughbreds at Sydney on account of Mr. Alec Higgins. Royal Raider, a four-year-old, was foaled in New Zealand. Other saies were: — Frontal Attaek, by Battle Song — Tradition, 3100 guineas; Regal Son, by Foxbridge — Mitde, 2800 guineas; Hammerhead, by Battle Song — Tarahaka, 1600 guineas; Battle Lord, by Battle Song — Martial Lady, 1300 guineas; Battle Rebel, by Battle Song — Lady Zephyr, 900 guineas; Wainui, by Waikare — Awatea, 625 guineas.
