DISTINGUISHED N.Z. AIRMAN'S RETURN
LONDON, Jan. 23. Wing Commander M. A. Ensor, D.S.G. and bar, D.F.C. and bar, of Rangiora, is returning to New Zealand from Britain with one of the most distinguished careers of any Dominion aii'man, says the Evening Standard. He has been co-mmanding No. 224 SquadrPn of the Royal Air Force Coastai Copimand in Cornwall. Wing Commander Ensor leffc a sheep farm to join the Air Force at tho age of 19 yeap in 1941 and won, at the age of 21 years, three decorations in his first to-ur of flying duty for attacking several shdps and Uboats. He was deseribed during the war 'by the Air Ministry as "one of the chief U-boat hunters in the Coastai Command." Wing Commander Ensor, in an interview, said: "I ara glad I came over but I am eager to get back to those sheep."
