SINGAPORE MUNICIPAL WORKERS STRIKE
SINGAPORE, 3an, 21. In Singapore to-day, over 6000 municipal workers went on strike. The men, who are employed in tbe , city's public utility services, are demanding increased pay and imprcved working conditions. To klep essential services running, the military authorities have switched Japanese prisoners of war to such job's as street cleaning.
