STATE FOREST SERVICE MILLING LOGS FOR SALE fpENDERS will be received at ofiice of Qonservator of Forests, Invercargill, up to March 17, 1947, for j-uzvchase of pine, larch and Douglas llr milling logs to be delivered to a mill site at Conical Hill, Otago. Successful tenderer will be required 10 lease the site and erect a sawmill, Idry kilns, etc., milling operations to commence within 2 years of acceptance of tender. Delivery of logs is to cbmmence August 1, 1948, and the quantity will be between 900,000 and 1,000,000 cubic feet annually. Period of sale, 22 years from date of acceptance of tender. The upset prices have been iixed on the basis of the authorised prices for sawn timber as at January L 1947. These prices will remain in i'orce for the first four years of the period, after which they will be reviewed at two-year intervals and amended if necessary in conformity with the then current prices of sawn timber. Deposit £1000 with tender.
