Kahukura And Ngongotaha Decisively Beaten Continuing its first innings with no wickets down for one run, in reply to R.S.A.'s first innings total o-f 209, Kahukura did not produce its usual form on Saturday. Wickets fell ouicldv from the start and the close came with only 71 runs on the board. The collapse was due to the good bowling of I. Laurence, who took 8 for 20. The remaining two- wickets were taken by D. Rose. Forced to follow on, Kahukura did not even equal its first innings score and was all out for 57 runs, D; Laurence heading the batting list with 28 runs. Douglas was the only other batsman to make double figures, with 12.

Ngongotaha Defeated After being six wickets down for 78 runs at the close of play the previous week, in reply to City-Albion's five wickets declared for 233, Ngongotaha went in on Saturday to make only two more runs in its first innings and was fo-rced to follow on. In its secona strike, it made 99 runs all out, thus giving City-Albion the game by an innings and 54 runs. The only outstanding batsman for the Ngongotaha side was R. Dawson, who scored 32- not out despite a bad injury to a. finger. Bowling for City-Albion, R. Sherriff took 3 for 23, G. Hobbs 4 for 41, and D. J. Ewert 2 for 14.
