Athletic Events The events for the first of the points trophy meetings to be hefd at Pererilca Street to-night, are 100 yards, 440 yards, high jump and shot put. Women' s events include 50 yards, 100 yards, and high jump. Children's races commence at 5.30 p.m. Motor Cyclist's Death Mr. Kenenth Charles PaYsons, aged 31, who resided.near Feilding', was killed instantly when the motor cycle he was riding- collided with a caravan towed hy a car just north of Porirua on Friday . The driver ofj the car was not hurt. Mr. Parsons was not identMed hntil Saturday morning. Hospital Board Vacancy Filling the vacancy on the Waikato Hospital Board caused by the rece'nt death of Mr. Joseph Price, Matamata, is to be considered at an early meeting of representatives of ihe constituent local bodies, the Cambridge and Matamata borough councils the Matamata County Council and the Putaruru Town Board. lT.S. Tennis Stars' Visit Gardnar Mulloy and Bill Talbert, two members of the suecessful United States Davis Cup team, are to play exhibition matcheg in New Zealand on their vay home from Australia. The secretary of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. W. Mantell-Harding, announced that arrangements had heen finalised for two appearances They will appear at Christchurch on February 4 and at Lower Hutt on Feh. 5 (a Wednesday). Steps are heing taken to select the New Zealand playera who would appear with the Americ'aps.
